Full disclosure: I can’t say I’ve attained full enlightenment, either at the sink or anywhere else. But I have made peace with those dishes, with the help of an unsung role model.
Interesting story, Mary, about Yasodhara. I could relate to a number of her feelings and experiences. She is an inspiration. I'm fast approaching her age when she died, but I still have a lot of ground to cover. Loving more deeply always does seem to be the answer to all our issues. I loved that observation about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers who did everything he did, but backwards and in high heels. That says it all.
Wow. 😭💜 beautiful!!
Makes me think of MLK and his statements about doing any job with pride.. not exactly the same thing.. but it keeps coming back into my mind:

Love is always the answer, even though it sounds so darn cliche and is SO HARD to muster sometimes!
