Unheralded self healing isn’t even the new thing; it’s the only thing.

Thank you, Mary, for your gifts. 💚

Amen, Graciel. The ONLY thing.

Such an important message, Mary, delivered from the spaciousness of you.

In a relationship in my past, we had a Friday nite routine of taking turns writing and listening to spontaneous poems. We filled books doing this. I was always amazed at what wanted expression, if given the space and permission. This poem reminds me of that.

floating in the ether

palpable in silence

captured on a sun beam

or the rustling of the leaves

carried in the water

held in the earth beneath our feet

who listens to its message?

is present to the unseen

cuts through the mire

& all the dread and the gloom

layered over our world

obscuring what is true?

oh, listen there.

Space and permission... the current iteration of this world provides neither. Oh, what beauty comes when given both! Thank you, Kathleen, for sharing this hit of gorgeous truth in poetic form. So appreciate you... xox

Fabulous - lovely poem...

I've had my share of those kinds of memos lately - some written by others and some written by my own fragile soul. Your poem helped me re-set...and to get back to what I know I can accomplish...

Oh Jack... the ones written by our own fragile souls are far more devastating than anything cooked up by others. I'm so glad the poem opened the door for you to remember your own tremendous capabilities! Because they are, indeed, tremendous.

Feeling unmemo’d. Great audio addition! Nothing like hearing the author read it out loud. I read it first and came back to listen while reading it a second time. It hit different, it hit wise. And gentle. Thanks, Mary!

"Unmemo'd" -- a great title! Thanks for the comment on the audio, Tonika; I'd fallen off doing them for my poems, and it's nice to know they add something...👍

Oh, and check out this lady’s cheeky poetry, she is new to Substack, but her poems (and delivery) have cracked me up a few times: https://open.substack.com/pub/writewhalley?r=xi283&utm_medium=ios
