This was very interesting and encouraging, Mary. Thanks for sharing it. Since having all the "woke" ideology forced down our throats in so many venues, I became totally disgusted, especially if celebrities or the MSM, like PBS, were praising some book, or movie, or play as some kind of cultural phenomenon then I immediately had no interest in what they were talking about. My motto became a quote by Walter Lippman, "Where all think alike, no one thinks very much." I'm sure that wasn't very fair of me, but what "they" were doing to us wasn't fair either! But I look forward to the future, and in the meantime I'm perfectly happy with reading all the great stuff you and the other substack writers put out on a regular basis. Hey! speaking about a cultural phenomenon didn't you say you were going to write a screenplay about something? lol xox
Mary, I may have shared that Lippman quote with you before. It speaks to me, what can I say.?
Here's a quote from YOU: "I wrote a musical with a friend that is moldering because the person who was going to write the music got busy with other things. Such is creative life! I'm putting "Battle of Athens, the Musical" on my ever-expanding list of things to write!!"
It was from Battle of Athens, Part II comment section. Just sayin'. LOL
Thanks Mary. Another sign of our newly emerging world. Humans are so impressive when they rely on themselves and each other, and go around prevailing systems of control. Appreciate the share.

I don't blame you at all for turning away from "cultural phenoms." And I love the Lippman quote. It's the perfect response to this whole mess.
Hang on... that sounds familiar... uh oh. What did I say I would write?? 😳

I think you did share that Lippman quote before, now that you mention it!
Oh boy, you're right. Obviously 😂. Thanks for keeping me honest, Rocket. It may be a while before I get to it, but it's THERE now. xox
Dear Mary, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this post. What excellent good news this is.
So glad, TB. I know that quite a few of my subscribers are writers, so I thought it might lift their spirits!

Right you are!
What a wonderful example of the new world emerging alongside the old one's demise. Thanks for this, Mary.
